Gulf University's College of Law delegation completed a four-day official visit to Egypt's judicial, governmental, and academic institutions from November 16–19, 2025. The program advanced three UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 4 (Quality Education).

Day One — November 16, 2025: Cultural-Legal Foundations

The delegation began with a cultural-legal immersion from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., exploring the Pyramids of Giza. Students observed the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, examining limestone blocks, casing stones, mastabas, and the Great Sphinx to connect ancient administrative systems to modern legal institutions.

From 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the group visited the Grand Egyptian Museum, touring monumental statues of Ramses II and Thutmose III, viewing Tutankhamun artifacts, and observing the Mummies Hall's preservation environment. These experiences deepened understanding of historical record-keeping and legal documentation foundations.

Day Two — November 17, 2025: Judicial Oversight and Criminal Justice

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Administrative Control Authority hosted the delegation, leading tours through investigative units, Appeals Office, Complaints System, Judicial Inspection Division, and Anti-Corruption Unit. Senior counselors delivered workshops on investigative methodologies, oversight–judiciary cooperation, and drafting judicial memoranda addressing transparency and accountability.

Afternoon sessions (1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at Cairo Criminal Court allowed students to witness a live murder trial, observe evidentiary practices, and tour the Women's Protection Hearing Room. Discussions with senior judges explored criminal litigation standards and cooperation opportunities.

Day Three — November 18, 2025: Administrative and Constitutional Justice

From 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the State Council (Majlis al-Dawla) received the delegation, offering tours of the historic Abdel-Razzaq Al-Saniora Library containing legal volumes from 1817. Students attended an administrative court session and heard Counselor Abdel-Mohsen Sheeha lecture on the State Council's jurisdiction and distinctions from the Supreme Constitutional Court.

Afternoon sessions (1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) at the Supreme Constitutional Court featured Counselor Emad Al-Bishri presenting on constitutional formation, judicial review, and the evolution of Egyptian constitutional frameworks. The delegation toured administrative divisions including the library and Grand Hall of Counselor Awad Al-Murr.

Day Four — November 19, 2025: Academic Partnership and Legal Heritage

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Ain Shams University's Faculty of Law formally welcomed the Gulf University delegation with documentary presentations on academic achievements and research contributions. Dr. Husham Al-Ousi presented Gulf University's legal education model emphasizing experiential learning, judicial simulations, and community-engaged teaching. Discussions covered joint programs, research collaboration, and student-faculty exchange opportunities.

From 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the delegation visited the Saladin Citadel, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, providing historical context on state institutions and governance evolution across Egyptian eras.

The visit strengthened international partnerships, enhanced practical legal training, and aligned the College of Law with UN Sustainable Development Goals, positioning Gulf University as a regional leader in legal education and global citizenship development.
