Students' Rights

Gulf University guarantees students the right to:

  • Learn in a supportive environment that contributes to the development of students' analytical thinking and encourages them to research lifelong learning.
  • Achieve quality education within approved curricula.
  • Participate in course review and development.
  • Access facilities including library, IT services, bookshop, e-learning unit, cafeteria, and sports.
  • Receive respectful treatment from staff.
  • Have physical and psychological needs considered.
  • Study in a positive and organized learning environment free from intolerance and discrimination.
  • Expect faculty commitment to schedules and policies.
  • File grievances per university procedures.
  • Use faculty office hours and academic advising.
  • Express viewpoints freely.
  • Participate in Student Council elections.
  • Access Career Guidance and Counseling services.

Students' Responsibilities

Students must:

  • 1 Know and comply with the University's policies, procedures and regulations.
  • 2 Attend lectures regularly and follow exam rules.
  • 3 Adhere to the students' code of conduct and respect academic and administrative staff.
  • 4 Preserve university property and facilities.
  • 5 Maintain calmness, and comply with non-smoking rules at the University campus.
  • 6 Avoid insulting, harassing or intimidating anyone verbally or through act.
  • 7 Show loyalty to the University and Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • 8 Maintain appropriate appearance.
  • 9 Demonstrate willingness for teamwork.
  • 10 Uphold academic integrity and ethics.

Students' Grievance

Students may file complaints regarding university services, staff treatment, or departmental decisions via the Student Services Unit or by email:

Mobile Phone Regulations

Mobile phones must be silenced in libraries and meetings. They are not allowed inside examination venues. Violations result in disciplinary action.
